Design Framework

The Chapelton Design Framework are a collection of documents which set out the sense of character of each area within Chapelton.

The Design Standards form part of the Design Framework. The aim of the Design Standards is to give house builders, residents and other interested parties a sense of the character of different areas within Chapelton. These documents form part of the title to your property and any changes to your property can only be made in accordance with the Design Standards.

The Design Standards for the first phase of the Development comprise 5 documents (Regulating Plan, Building Types, Street Hierarchy, Architectural Regulations and Landscape Regulations).

If your Neighbourhood Deed of Conditions refers to these documents you should identify your property on the Regulating Plan and examine the colour coding, cross-referencing your house location with the transect area in which it is located.  From there, refer to Building Types & Plot Conditions to determine what patterns of development are suitable for your home and neighbourhood. Following a review of the initial Design Standards, subsequent developments will each have their own specific Design Standards, these have been developed over time to be site specific to simplify ease of use.  Please refer to the Downloads section under Your home, Design Standards and Specific Neighbourhoods for detailed information.
